[en]The draft for this interior design has been formulated very clear. Ceasornicarul meu (My Watchmaker) is not a horologer business in the usual sense, but a brand that follows the perpetuation of the traditional craft of watch making, against the over-technical development of watch mass production and simplified maintenance. The main activity is based on watch maintenance and sale. Due to the extremely small surface of the space and the restrictive shape of the surface, functionality has been the first issue to define the proposal. The space is divided in two areas – one opaque that hides the functional elements for mechanical processing and storage, and an open one that orientates towards the flux of circulation and that communicates with the public. The open area also serves as area for contact and receiving orders, functioning at the same time as a diorama in which the watchmakers’ activity is showcased and becomes the main attractor. The concept of the intervention is based on creating a septic support that shall communicate the idea of precision, using a simple binary chromatic scheme, based on dark grey and white. The exterior façade and the interior background wall are unified by a continuous graphic strip derived from the schematic image of an analogical watch, decomposed in dots. The strip is read from left to right, starting from the opaque façade, where three separate illuminated dials are depicted, decomposing towards the interior, suggesting the decomposition of the watches in components during the repair process. The logo of the store derives from the graphic dots of the strip.
Data fiind suprafata foarte mica a spatiului si forma restrictiva a suprafetei, functionalitatea a fost primul criteriu in definirea propunerii.
